Fire Department

The mission of the Orange Park Fire Department is to provide the highest level of public safety services for our community. The Fire Department is responsible for all fire and rescue services in the Town including EMS, firefighting, extrication, disaster management, fire inspections, fire prevention and safety programs.

Chief Contestabile has over 35 years of fire service experience. He started his career early as a volunteer firefighter with North Shores VFD and retired from St. Johns County Fire Rescue after 28 years. He joined the Orange Park Fire Department in 2019 and was promoted to the position of Fire Chief in 2021.

Chief Contestabile has a bachelor’s degree from Flagler College in Public Administration. He is committed to providing top level services for the residents of the Town of Orange Park while building upon strong community relationships.
