Welcome to the Orange Park Town Clerk’s office! Your Town Clerk is responsible for the legislative branch of your Town government including: Town elections, public record management, and Town Council meetings. The Clerk also acts as executive secretary to the Town Manager, the Mayor and Town Council.
Your Town Council is made up of five members elected at large from within the Town boundaries. Each Council member serves a three-year term. Council members are limited to serving three consecutive terms. Elections are held in March each year for one or two council seats, depending on the rotation. The Mayor and Vice-Mayor are nominated and appointed annually by their fellow Council members at the first meeting in April.
Local laws passed by the Town Council are called ordinances and are available for viewing at www.municode.com at no charge to you. Resolutions, meeting minutes, and other documents are available for viewing and inspection at Town Hall upon request.
The Town Council typically meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers. The agenda is available for viewing on the Town website on the Friday before each council meeting. Click here to view previous and upcoming agendas. Agendas are also available at the Town Clerk’s office. Public commentary is an important part of our community. Every Council meeting includes time for the public to address the Council. Please join us for a meeting and see what your Town government is all about!
